Fiji Medical Camp 2025July 6, 2026Fiji International Medical Camps began in 2006 and have been held annually ever since with teams of health-professionals and other volunteers from New Zealand, Australia and occasionally from other countries, assisted by volunteers from Fiji. The camps bring free medical services and health education to Fijian communities who, through isolation, lack of resources, or lack of knowledge were unable to access these services. This report provides an overview of the latest camp held over 23 – 29 August 2025 which progressively provided services through six different locations supported by a large team of professionals and volunteers. Birthing Kit AssemblyJuly 2, 2026Groups throughout the SSSIO in Australia came together to have a national service supporting the Birthing Kit Foundation in its life-saving activities for women and children at risk in childbirth situations in areas of inadequate medical services. [more]
Fiji Medical camp 2024June 17, 2026120 Health professionals and volunteers from Fiji, New Zealand and Australia participated in a service mission in serving needy patients in remote areas of Fiji. This was a unique mission where the first camp was held on the main island of Viti Levu, after which most of the team undertook a night-time journey across the ocean by ferry to Vanua Levu, where they continued their service for five more days.
