Envirocare: Care for the Environment
The Envirocare initiative in the Sathya Sai Organisation focuses on care for the Environment as practice of the teachings of Sathya Sai Baba. The restoration of righteousness (dharma) (right-conduct) on a firm footing engages every dimension of human activity. All activity takes place in the environment which surrounds and comprises Earth.
The Sathya Sai Organisation provides opportunities for spiritual progress through its education, sevice and spiritual activities. Through the lens of these activities, there exist opportunities for practical, spiritual, harmonious responses toward caring for our Environment.
Envirocare and Practical Spirituality
Spirituality is our practice of presence towards Love in our own personal lives, and the practice of the presence of the Divine in all that is external to ourselves. Envirocare and practical spirituality has a profound sense of interconnectedness with the ALL. Read more about Envirocare and Pratical Spirituality
Envirocare and Study Circles:
The Envirocare initiative encourages energy-saving, the practice of human values in Environmental affairs and coordinates recycling issues within the organisation. These may then become topics for Study Circles on Envirocare. Read more about the practical activities available, via Envirocare and Study Circles
Ceiling on Desires, the One in Three Challenge:
The Ceiling on Desires: 'One in Three' Challenge offers each individual an opportunity to help care for the environment on which we all depend, by reducing the impact of our individual and collective footprints on Mother Earth while also serving those in need. This is an opportunity for individuals to truly live His Message. You may read more about the One-in -Three Challenge program
The Five Human Values
The Five Human Values (Truth, Right Conduct, Love, Peace and Non-violence) form the basis of human life, and the order of the Universe. Sathya Sai Baba teaches that the Universe rests on Truth, and this is expressed as eternal order in all things, a principle which is named Right Conduct, or more explicitly, dharma, in Sanskrit. Human Values are resident within all human beings and may be elicited and made manifest through Education in Human Values, and the practice of these values.
