Select Readings on Selfless Service
This national service retreat is aimed at preparing plans to serve the community and the nation with service projects which will inspire the hearts and minds of our nation with the flame of Love, ignited by our very service itself. This retreat will equip the delegates with the tools to return to their centre or group, and supply devotees with the motivation that they themselves will witness the transformation of the hearts and minds of the people of Australia.
The objectives of this retreat are:
- To share knowledge and experience of activities at region, centre and individual level
- To understand service from the teachings and perspective of our beloved Sai.
- To focus our attention towards the "attitude" of selfless service and to "Love All and Serve All" without passing judgment
- To inspire every individual with Baba's saying "Service to Mankind is Service to God"
- To raise awareness of our theme BETTER LIVING IN SELFLESS SERVICE
In order to facilitate participation at the 2008 Service Retreat, select readings in selfless service are provided for pre-retreat reading and reflection by delegates, and all who are interested in the teachings of Sathya Sai Baba on selfless service.
