Activities Plan, 2008

“If only women were given their due recognition and encouragement, they would shine with brilliance in all fields and would serve the house, the country and the entire world gloriously, contributing to the welfare of all humanity. ”—Baba (Discourse April 19th 1990)

We are privileged that our womanhood is sacred and Divine. We are so fortunate that our Beloved Bhagvan is giving us more and more recognition and encouragement to realize the talents, strengths and virtues within each of us. He has given all Office bearers great responsibilities so that we become role models of Sai and His teachings, and thus be able to guide others on their Spiritual journey. Women often lead a busy life, however, the Spiritual Self cannot be neglected from the dimensions of life. Dedicating our time in practicing spiritual conduct and participating in creative workshops will encourage them to expand their self confidence, and enhance their strength to find the peace within.

Incorporated into all our activities will be this year's theme of “AWARENESS OF LOVE”. We will be practicing Love in the family, Love in the workplace, and Love in the broader community.

To achieve “Awareness of Love”, will be practicing The Spiritual Upliftment Plan (adherence to six points of conduct) which will be assisted by the following activities:

1. Using a spiritual diary for maintaining personal improvement records to help remove bad habits and allow us to develop new habits that will result in a more refined character.

2. Conducting exercise workshops to promote regular exercises such as Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates and walking. A healthy body and mind means that we have the strength to love ourselves and to develop the awareness of love.

3. Publishing a recipe book that focuses on promoting Sathwic recipes and good health. This will be a key project for the National Ladies Wing for year 2008.

4. Making bookmarks and distributing amongst families, friends and the broader community, to spread Swami's message and foster the awareness of love. There will be a great opportunity to distribute bookmarks during the Walk for Values on 12th April 2008.

5. Conducting monthly Ladies' meetings at the centre level to further enhance our learning and understanding of Swami's teachings.

6. Encouraging participation at Parenting Workshops to not only assist parents in raising children, but as a means of reviewing ourselves and allowing transformation of one-self. The workshop will be promoted to all levels, office -bearers to all Sai members at centre level.

7. Liaising and working with the National Service Wing to ensure that women have opportunities to part-take in service activities. Service is important to develop the awareness of love.

8. Celebrating Ladies Day at zonal level in November and at centre level on a monthly basis. Swami has declared that 19th November as Ladies day as well as the 19th of every month.
