SAI SPIRITUAL EDUCATION (SSE)
TEACHER TRAINING COURSE

Based on the recommendations from Sai World Education Conference held in Prasanthi Nilayam during July 2008 and on information received from the Sathya Sai World Foundation, the Sai Organisation of Australia has now formally engated the Institute of Sathya Sai Education, Australia to take the lead role in the training of SSE teachers.

The Education wing on behalf of Sathya Sai Organisation, Australia will work in close partnership with Institute of Sathya Sai Education in this process.

The Education Wing in collaboration with the Institute of Sathya Sai Education will commence the implementation process in evaluating, developing, refining and delivering Sai Spiritual Education (SSE) in Australia. The proposed guidelines for establishing a Framework and Core Syllabus for ISSE Training programs will render timely assistance for a common understanding in unifying and harmonising Sathya Sai Education in Australia.

The Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation - Education Committee has provided the Core syllabus for this training which gives the minimum expectations for training in order to ensure the integrity of Sathya Sai Education Programs worldwide. The Core Syllabus provided are for the following courses:

• Course One - Introductory Level
• Course Two - Intermediate Level
• Standard Diploma Course - Final requirements

The Institute of Sathya Sai Education, Australia, and the Education wing have reviewed the core syllabi in light of requirements for SSE teacher training. Courses 1 and 2 need to be followed to attain proficiency to teach SSE in Australia.

Therefore, Course 1 and Course 2 will be combined and delivered as SSE Teacher Training Certificate Course.

Anyone interested in becoming familiar with the essential principles of Sathya Sai Education and applying them in one's personal, professional or family life can follow Course 1.

Meetings have been conducted with SSE Teachers in Sydney and Melbourne to discuss the proposed Certificate course and promotion of the new course structure.

Each State will have a training team to run the course under the expert guidance of ISSEA and the Education Wing. It is anticipated that the Certificate Course training will commence early 2009.

Further details regarding the course will be announced when the training teams are formed in each state.
