And, the story says, there was a Star in the sky, which fell with a New Light, and this led a few Tibetans and others to the place where the Savior was born. This story is read and taken on trust by many: though stars do not fall or even slide down so suddenly. What the story signifies is this. There was a huge halo of splendor illuminating the sky over the village when Christ was born. This meant that He, who was to overcome the darkness of Evil and Ignorance had taken birth, that He will spread the Light of Love in the heart of man and councils of humanity. Appearances of splendor, and other signs to herald the era that has dawned are natural when Incarnations happen on Earth. Jesus was to shatter the darkness that had developed the world and the aura of light was a sign that announced the event. The Masters arrive in answer to man's prayer, "Thamaso maa jyothir gamaya" (Lead us from darkness unto Light! Sathya Sai Baba, 24.12.1972

A person driving a car concentrates on the road for he is anxious
to save himself and others from accident. Fear is what induces
single-mindedness in this case. Love is a greater force for achieving
concentration. If you have steady and resolute love, your
concentration becomes intense and unshakeable. Faith develops
into love and love results in concentration. Prayer begins to yield
fruit under such conditions. Pray using the Name as a symbol of
the Lord, by keeping all the waves of the mind still. Let the
performance of a duty be the only justification of your coming into
the world. Hold fast to the Lord. Sathya Sai Baba, Thought for the Day 16.11.10

All Work is My Work - Love@Work Bulletin №146
I gave Kasturi and Thirumalachar shawls and blessed them at the
beginning of this meeting since they wrote My Life in English and Telugu: the
book called Sathyam Sivam Sundaram. Some of you might
have wondered why I liked the publication of this book on My Life. Well, I like
the production of all kinds of things and so, why should I not like this? I
responded to the prayers of devotees and allowed them to write it.

devotee satisfies the Lord; the joy of the Lord is the reward of the
devotee. Sathya Sai Baba, 4 March 1962

Presentation at Parliament of the World's Religions
The Institute of Sathya Sai Education was a presenter at the 2009 Parliament of the World's Religions. A presentation was given by Dr Pal Dhall, Director of the Institute on Faith Based Education in Human Values and sustainable futures.
ABSTRACT:We can raise a new spiritual generation that will use technology and skills to serve humanity, not to exploit each other and natural resources. We should be clear that a revival of spirituality does not turn into revival of empty rituals and rigid dogmas of religions. It should be the establishment of a deeper understanding of spirituality for personal transformation - a trans-religious spirituality of universal unconditional love for everything in creation based on the principle of Oneness.
Sathya Sai Philosophy, while not primarily for addressing the ecological challenges of the time, has a vital application to our present dilemma. This philosophy is based on the principle of Oneness and recognition of the Divine core in all creation. The natural extension of this is an ethic of love, respect and care for all for living and non-living beings, for nature and for the five elements of space, air, fire, water and earth.
At Prashanti Nilayam, every day is a Festival Day; every day is a holy day. As the saying goes, it is "Perpetual joy, perpetually green." Following the customary habits of people, feeling that the external signs of auspiciousness have their own value in educating and sublimating the inner emotions, the festivals are celebrated here also. Just as you have to eat the same items of food every day, just as you have to wash your face every now and then, the washed face being washed again, so the spoken message has to be spoken again and again. This is needed for those who have heard it from Me already; it is even more needed by those who have come for the first time.
This Nilayam is the abode of tranquillity. It is the abode of the highest form of absolute peace. In fact, you are, each one of you, the Nilayam of Prashanthi. That is why I very often address you as embodiments of peace! My object is to remind you that your real nature is equanimity, peace, unruffledness, non-attachment. You cannot draw out from within you that which is not there, is it not? Therefore, Peace must be there, deep down, as the very core of your being. It is the ripeness of the fruit, the sweetness filling the ripened fruit. Sathya Sai Baba, 24 September 1962

All Work is My Work - Love@Work - A Birthday Gift
Bulletin №144
Incarnation is for the sake of fostering, dharma, for demarcating
and directing it and to show mankind the true path of desireless activity. That
is the one task I am engaged in, through various channels. Instead of reforming
you without your knowledge, it is better to reform you with your own
co-operation and knowledge. So, I reveal to you my Glory, off and on, to a
little extent, through what you call miracles. I do not engage in them for name
and fame; I am miraculous by my very Nature! Every moment of mine is a a
miracle! They are beyond your understanding, your art, skill and intelligence.
I must save every one of you; even if you say, nay, and move away, I shall do
it. Those who have strayed away from Me have to return to the fold, sooner or
later, for I will not allow them to be distant for long. I shall drag them
towards Me. That is My basic Nature, Love and Mercy. Sathya Sai

All Work is My Work - Love@Work Bulletin №143
Let Me tell you, the love of the Gopis was Sahaja prema - the genuine Love that is beyond physical awareness, that is unaffected by praise or blame. It is not like the thin filament of oil floating on water, which comes off on the finger when it is touched. It is like the lotus stalk, which penetrates deep down through all the layers of water into the soil underneath; but the leaf floats above, unaffected by the water which gives it the essential environment. Man should struggle similarly to rise above the sensory world which is his inevitable environment; the sensory world tempts you to strive for this triviality and that, but like the gopis, you should discard the hankering and fix your eye on the vitally precious fountain of joy

All Work is My Work - Love@Work Bulletin №142
A Hindu and his British friend once happened to come to the bank of the Godavari River. The Hindu said, "I will bathe in this sacred water". He recited "Lord, Lord" as he plunged in and came out refreshed in mind as well as body. He felt great happiness that he got the rare chance of a bath in the holy river. The Britisher laughed and said, "This is mere H2O: how can you get unspeakable joy by dipping into it? It is all superstition!" But the Hindu replied, "Leave me to my superstition; you can stick to your superstition" The cynic got only physical cleanliness but the believer got mental purity also.Sathya Sai Baba, Gokhale Hall, Madras, 25 March 1958

It is a great responsibility to tread the Godward path. There is no sliding back, no half-way stop, no tardy pace, no side lane on such a pilgrimage. It is always up and up, right to the crest of the mountain.
Though your responsibility is greater, take it from me, you are luckier than others. Do not deny with the tongue what you have relished in the heart; do not bear false witness to your own felt experience. Do not carp and talk cynically of the very thing you have revered and adored when the company into which you fall start retailing such raillery. It is said that the devotee can get the Lord everywhere easily but the Lord cannot get a devotee so easily. Yes, it is difficult to secure a devotee who has that unshaken faith, that attitude of complete self surrender.
Such an attitude can come only by repetition of the Divine Name, constant, sincere and continuous, as continuous as the act of breathing and felt to be as essential for life. That is the rosary, the penance, the meditation for you all; repeating the Divine Name like this will immerse you ever in bliss, bliss, bliss. When you stand in front of the sun at sunrise, your shadow will be fifty feet long while you are actually five feet tall. As the sun begins to rise in the sky, your shadow becomes shorter. When the sun positions itself exactly above your head at noon, your shadow falls under your feet. In the same way, when you begin your journey toward God and gradually progress in the Godward path, the shadow of illusion falls behind. On the other hand, if you go against God and travel in the opposite direction, the shadow of illusion will be in front of you.Sathya Sai Baba, Sankranthi Discourse, 2007

All Work is My Work - Love@Work Bulletin №139
The "I" in you is the Supreme Being himself. The "I" is the tiny wavelet that plays with the wind for a moment, over the deep waters of the sea. The wave gives you the impression that it is separate from the azure and timeless ocean below, but it is just an appearance, a creation of the two ideas - Name and Form. Get rid of the two ideas and the wave disappears in the sea; its reality flashes upon you and you know. The Supreme Being reveals its glory as Love in man. Sathya Sai Baba, 23 November 1960

"The ideas and pronouncements of others may often be personal, or they may induce feelings of hatred between people. Why should we accept them as ours and mould our feelings accordingly? We should not try to shape our feelings and patterns of behaviour to conform to those of others. We should not relinquish our faith, our experience and our innate holiness. Born as human beings, moving about as educated persons, yet stupidly following others as sheep do and polluting the minds with ideas borrowed from others, are things to be avoided." All Work is My Work - Love@Work Bulletin №136
"Of the three instruments used by man for thinking, speaking and action, the third instrument is the body with its hands ready to execute the thought which is expressed in words. The deed, the work, the labour that the hand of man is engaged in are the source of all the happiness or misery that man is involved in. Man asserts that he is happy or that he is anxious and afraid or that he is in trouble. And he attributes the cause of these conditions to some person other than himself. This belief rests on a wrong basis; happiness and misery are due to one's own actions. Whether one accepts this truth or rejects it, one has to go through all the consequences of one's action. This is the law of nature. One may not believe in summer or winter, in fire or rain, but one cannot escape from heat and cold. Their effect will affect him nevertheless. Therefore, the best course is to direct our activities along proper lines." -Sathya Sai Baba, Vidya Vahini

"While dealing with uncultured and difficult folk, one has to exercise caution. So too, with ungrateful fellows who forget the good done to them. The law is the instrument the Government uses to punish those who do wrong. But the educated person and the student should not condemn them outright. He must manifest his natural virtue of detachment and practise his characteristic attitude of helpfulness." -Sathya Sai Baba, Vidya Vahini

"The boys and girls of today are the future citizens of the country. They have to uphold the glory and good name of their country by their ideal conduct. They should cultivate humility and reverence towards parents and elders. Consider the whole world as one family and love everyone. If you want to buy anything, you have to pay its price. Likewise, you can attain the human values, viz., truth, righteousness, peace and non-violence only when you possess the wealth of love. There is no wealth greater than love." -Sathya Sai Baba, Easwaramma Day, Brindavan, 2006

Zone 3 Pre World Conference,
The King's School, Paramatta, NSW
11-12 September 2010
In 30 days time Sai devotees from Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Philippines and Sri Lanka will assemble at The King's School, Parramatta, New South Wales for the Zone 3 Pre-World Sai Conference.
As indicated in our earlier Release, it is from the morning of 11th September to the afternoon of 12th September 2010.
This conference is for the countries in Zone 3 and we are very fortunate that this event is taking place in Australia. Dr Goldstein and Dr Reddy of Prasanthi council and another member of the council, either Mr Leonardo Gutter or Dr William Harvey, are attending the conference.
Dr Goldstein, chair of the International Sai Organisation is constantly guided by our beloved Swami and therefore is in a better position to answer many of our spiritual questions with respect to the Sai Organisation. He will respond to questions from participants on Sunday the 12th September. This is the first visit of Dr Goldstein, chair of Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation and Prasanthi Council to Australia.
The two day conference with active participation from those attending the conference will examine THE SAI IDEAL HUMAN LIFE and THE SAI IDEAL SPIRITUAL ORGANISATION.
The recommendations from this conference along with the recommendations from other Pre-World Conferences will be deliberated at the 9th World Sai conference to be held in Prasanthi Nilayam in November 2010.
Sai Young adults who have taken a major role in organising this conference have produced a short video to give an idea of what this Pre-World conference is about and why one should attend.
Sai Young Adults from all countries in Zone 3 are pooling their resources to display exhibits on the theme of the conference - The Sai Ideal. The exhibition is titled Energy Untitled.
The evening program on Saturday will assist participants to further unravel the theme of the conference through skit interlaced with music medley.
We may not have the opportunity in Australia to hold a conference of this nature for decades to come.
We therefore encourage all to attend this conference, in particular the current and potential office bearers, so that the participants and the Sai Organisation can benefit from the experience.
Registration forms and Study circle Material are available from the Sai centre/group chairpersons and also at http://5ailands.org/pwc/
The conference caters for adults and young adults only.
Registrations made very close to the conference increases the workload on the
organisers and they would appreciate those planning to register, to do so without delay.
The registration fee without accommodation is $100 for a working person and $85 for a non working person.
For further details please use the contact page, and your query will be sent to the secretary of the conference committee.
Information related to this conference including detailed agenda will be sent to those participating at the conference during the first week of September.
A warm welcome awaits all participants at The King's School, Parramatta!

"Crossing the sands of greed and lust, the wilds of anger, climbing the heights of hatred and vengefulness, the spiritual aspirant comes to the green meadow of Love. You can see that circle of broad green grass, attractively embellished with good thoughts and virtues, which refresh and satisfy. Beyond that, we have the broad expanse of Peace, where all agitations cease and the mind is at rest in its own silence. Now is the chance: establish yourself in the discipline of spiritual union with the Universal Power, the Absolute Wisdom, the Eternal Verity."

"The timeless soul which is beyond delusion and darkness has to be cognised by every person through his or her own efforts. You have taken birth as inheritors of this estate of Eternal Bliss. You are the dearly loved children of the Lord. You are as pure and as sacred as air. Do not condemn yourselves as sinners. You are lion cubs, not sheep. You are wavelets of Immortality, not bodies compounded from matter. Material objects are there to serve you and do your bidding. You should not serve them and do their bidding"

"Sometimes we are following the senses of action, senses of perception and the mind, which are unreal. Do you know the nature of mind? It runs after worldly objects, indiscriminately. It is like a fly. One moment, it rests on a fragrant flower. The next moment it sits on the garbage being carried in a cart. How can you trust such a fickle mind?
"Mind is like a mad monkey, body is like a water bubble."
Unfortunately, today, we are leading our lives reposing our faith in such a body and mind. The day you give up attachment to the body, forget the senses and contemplate on the Divine Principle within, you will yourself become an embodiment of the Divine Self. You are not merely a human being; you are Divinity, verily!
You are unfortunately deluded to consider yourself a human being. You have donned the garb of a human being for being in this world. This human form is a dress. As long as you are in this world, you will wear that dress. The moment you return to the dressing room, you will leave that dress. You are enacting a role, wearing this dress. Once you leave this dress behind, you are your normal self again."

"'Your very nature is Love. You cannot survive even for a moment when deprived of Love. It is the very breadth of your life. When the six vices to which you were attached so long disappear, Love becomes the only occupant of your heart. Love has to find an object, a loved one. It cannot remain alone.
You will then direct it to the charming, sweet Lord, who is purity personified, who is the embodiment of service, sacrifice and selflessness and who has taken residence in the cleansed altar of your heart. Then, there will be no scope for any other attachment to grow. Step by step, this love for God will become deeper, purer, more self-denying, until at last, there is no need for thoughts, and the individual is merged in the Universal"

Sai is Love. He is compassion and kindness itself. He is ever dwelling in the hearts of you all. To trust Him means freedom from all anxiety, fear and doubts. He is you, all-in-all. When you have such a Lord of the Universe to depend upon, why should you be afraid or anxious about anything? His great assurance should always sustain you and infuse imto you courage, strength, peace and joy. He says, "Lo! To those who worship Me alone, thinking of no other, I bring full security."' He does everything for your best. No condition is miserable for you, if you have full faith in this truth. The Almighty Lord of the world, seated in your hearts, is the sole doer. You are mere puppets. Let Him make you dance as He wills. Yours is not to question "Why?". Difficulties and worries are not due to outside causes. They are due to a mind not surrendered unto God.
With Love and Blessings,
Baba

Sathya Sai Baba says, "When the rains pour on the mountain peaks and the water hurries down the sides, no river emerges. However, when the water flows in a single direction, first there is a brook, then a stream, then a torrent and finally a flooded river is formed and the river merges with the sea. So too, your mind and actions must flow full and steady along the fields of holy thoughts. The hands should be used to perform good deeds. Have the Lord's Name within and perform your natural duties. Worthy indeed is the one who marches in such a manner to the goal!"

Sathya Sai Baba says, You are Love. To know that we are love we just need to have this one thought.
Our actions are born from our thoughts. When our thoughts are ever focused on God, our actions also will be for God. Then our thoughts and deeds will be aligned with God. How beautiful it would be to always think and act for God and God alone ... Our lives will be filled with Love, Love, Love ...

All Work is My Work - Love@Work Bulletin №115
All the actions that you undertake must be sacred.
There should be harmony in your thought, word and deed. The proper study of mankind is man. Work is Worship, Duty is God. This was the teaching of our ancient seers. Consider all activities as an offering to God and all work as God's work. Just as two wings are essential for a bird to soar high in the sky, two wheels are needed for a cycle to move, so also, Love and Service are essential for man to reach his destination. No benefit accrues from rendering service devoid of love. Do not expect any returns for your acts of service. The satisfaction which you derive from rendering service is itself a reward.Sathya Sai Baba, 3 September 1999
Sai Young Adults meet weekly and share their practice of Love in the Workplace. This sharing is then distributed to all participants in the Love@Work program in the form of a Weekly Bulletin called All Work is My Work.
New South Wales Region East will conduct an Information Day on Sai Spiritual Education. This will take place on Saturday 20 February at the Plympton Guides Hall, Plympton Rd, Carlingford, from 8AM until 5PM. This day will contain information on the aims and methods used in Sai Spiritual Education. It is targetted towards SSE Teachers, aspiring SSE Teachers, Parents and anyone with an interest in Education in Human Values, and children. A Flyer is available for your reading.
We are pleased to announce that the Sai School, with Baba's Grace, has completed the construction of seven new classrooms and a library/learning centre. These new facilities will be put to use in the 2010 school year.
A formal opening of the new buildings is being planned and we have extended an invitation to the Deputy Prime Minister, the Hon Julia Gillard to be the chief guest on this occasion. We anticipate that this will occur within the next three months.
We now have the physical facilities which are attractive, functional and durable, which will enable the school to grow to approximately 160 pupils. The completion of the school building work is a further step in the advancement of the vision for the school - to become a model school, demonstrating the benefits of integrating human values into the standard State Education Curriculum. The school makes information on the Sai Educare Philosophy, the
teaching techniques, lesson plans and other relevant material available at no cost to assist and encourage Government and Private schools to adopt values based education.
This is a Nation Building vision which continues to be the primary service project for the Sathya Sai Organisation of Australia and PNG.
We express our gratitude to the Federal and State Governments, our Donors, our members and volunteers, who have made it possible to reach this milestone.
2. Retirement
After about eight years of full-time voluntary service to the Sai School, Bob and Ros Molloy are retiring from their respective positions as Principal (Bob) and Bursar (Ros). Motivated by the Love of Sai and His teachings, they have played a critical role in the growth of the Sai School in Australia. They had been a tower of strength to the teachers and parents of the school and will be greatly missed by the staff of the school. The School Community and Sai Organisation extend their warmest appreciation and gratitude for their selfless service over these years.
We wish the couple a relaxed second retirement.
Ros Molloy's retirement has led to the review of the school's administration, and to the creation of a new position of Business Manager/Bursar.
The School Board is now seeking applications for this position.
3. Appointment of the new School Principal
Mrs Leela Broughton has been appointed as the Principal of the Sai School from January 2010. Leela has been teaching at the school for four years, and for the last 18 months had functioned as the deputy Principal. We extend our congratulations and best wishes to her for her success and happiness in this sacred work.

All Work is My Work - Love@Work Bulletin №112
In winnowing, the dry outer coverings are removed from the grain. Similarly, you should also separate and isolate the seeds of bad thoughts and emotions from the good and healthy ones. Let not the seeds of bad thought sprout anywhere near you. At least from this Sankranthi day onwards, live up to the word you've given to Swami and walk along the flowery path shown by SAI. Receive in full SAI's Grace and Love. Lead your life with good thoughts, good inclinations and good ideals. Strive to attain the fruits of your studies. SAI is your 'Hridayasthaayi'. SAI is the One who grants your wishes. It is this SAI, who is your Thaai: SAI MOTHER.Sathya Sai Baba, January, 1972

What God expects from His devotee is only a pure and sacred heart.
People ascribe different names and forms to God. In fact, God is only one. He is beyond all names and forms. He takes on a name and form according to the wishes and aspirations of a particular devotee. When you contemplate on the form of Jesus and wish to see Him in that form, He manifests before you as Jesus.Sathya Sai Baba, Christmas Day, 2009
