Sathya Sai Baba
Born on November 23, 1926, for over 85 years, Sathya Sai Baba has
instigated and inspired global activities for the uplift of all
humanity. He is lovingly referred to as Swami, Sai Baba, Bhagavan, or
Sai Ma (Mother) by His devotees. His vision and selfless service in
the fields of Education, Health and Rural Village service and
improvement have been pursued right from the inception of his mission.
They are unique and targeted towards transparent results. These
activities are based on and reflect the universal principles of Truth,
Righteousness, Love, Peace and Non-violence. Baba names these as
universal Human Values and affirms Duty is God and Work is Worship,
Love All, Serve All, and Help Ever, Hurt Never. The true religion of
mankind is the "Religion of Love".
Sathya Sai Organisation
In Australia, the Sai Spiritual Movement started in an informal way during the 1970's with devotees meeting in homes in every state of Australia. Formal adoption into the Sathya Sai Organisation worldwide occurred in 1983. The Sai Centres consisted of spiritual seekers from many traditions who came together to share their experiences of Sai Baba, to study His teachings to sing devotional songs from all religions, and join in selfless service activities conducted by the Sai Organisation. These groups regularly (usually on Thursdays) and conducted prayers, singing of devotional songs to all the different names and forms of the Divine, They would also join in together engaging in service activities for the needy, feeding of the homeless, visiting of nursing homes and homework help after school for children of migrants. Today the Sathya Sai Organisation has spread to every state, with 104 Centres and Groups in Australia and one group in Papua New Guinea. |

Activities in Australia
The Sathya Sai Organisation has five wings which conduct activities in every state in Australia and Papua New Guinea. These are the Spiritual Wing, the Service Wing, the Education Wing, the Ladies Wing and the Youth Wing called Sai Young Adults. The national service project of our Organisation is a human values school, the Sathya Sai Primary School, located in Murwillumbah, NSW. This is a free, non-denominational school, integrating the practice of human values into all aspects of the school curriculum.
The Sai Medical Unit conducts an annual camp in rural Fiji, where medical practitioners, dentists, nurses and pharmacists give free medical, dental, optical care along with health education to rural Fijians. This camp is conducted in association with the Sai Organisation of Fiji.
The Sai Young Adults undertake pilgrimages to the Ashram of Sathya Sai Baba, Prashanti Nilayam, and follow a selfless service program and have regular meetings on a variety of topics.
There is also an Institute of Sathya Sai Education in Canberra which conducts Diploma and Certificate IV courses for the conduct of Human Values education in the Community.
Teachings of Sathya Sai Baba
Sathya Sai Baba has not come to found any new religion or philosophy. He has
come to show all humanity the foundation love has in every life, indeed all
life. In the words of Sathya Sai Baba,
I have come not to disturb or destroy any Faith, but to confirm each in his
own Faith, so that the Christian becomes a better Christian, the Muslim a
better Muslim and a Hindu a better Hindu. I have come to reconstruct the
ancient highway to God; to instruct all in the essence of the scriptures, to
shower on all this precious gift; to protect the Eternal Righteousness and to
preserve it. My Mission is to serve happiness and so I am always happy to come
among you, not once but twice, thrice, as often as you want me. To set right
those who have taken to wrong path and to protect the good people, Sai will be
born again and again.
